Valley Metro Rideshare offers FREE
services to help your company promote alternative commute options to
the worksite. Our goal is to provide services and resources to help
motivate employees to commute to work by ways other than driving alone.

Our highly trained Rideshare staff assists Transportation Coordinators
with preparing, writing and implementing a Trip Reduction Program. The
following services and information are available to assist you with
your program:
Trip Reduction
Program
The Trip Reduction Program is a County ordinance that requires employers
with 50 or more employees and/or schools with driving aged students
reporting to one site at least 3 days a week, 6 months per year to participate
in the program. This group of employees and students makes up approximately
50% of all the commute trips within Maricopa County. Currently, there
are 1,200 employers/schools in the program, representing more than 500,000
employees.
Employer Training
and Workshops
Valley Metro Rideshare provides FREE, interactive workshops for
Transportation Coordinators and others who want to be more effective
in executing a successful Trip Reduction Program. Workshops include
an introduction to the trip reduction program, how to write and update
a trip reduction plan, implement and document the plan, and more.
Transportation Coordinator's
Associations
Information on Transportation Coordinator's Associations for Networking
Opportunities. FREE, geographically located Transportation Coordinator
Meetings that provide Transportation Coordinators or interested individuals
with an opportunity to meet on a regular basis to network, share ideas,
and work together on promotions and programs.
Tools
and Materials to help you market alternative commute options
FREE promotional and collateral materials are available to help Transportation
Coordinators promote the Trip Reduction Program. Contests are also available
to employees for using alternative modes of transportation.
Commute Options
By using alternative commute options, employees can save money, save
time by using the HOV lane, get to work relaxed and refreshed, and help
clean the air. Valley Metro offers a variety of commute options from
carpool
matching to telework
assistance.

help you meet your TRP goals.
Employer
Bus Pass Program
Bus Card Plus is a transit credit card available only to companies and
organizations for their employees. Instead of using tickets, passes,
or tokens, participants in the program receive a plastic card with an
encoded magnetic stripe.
Tax Benefits
The federal government has made tax “breaks” available to
employers and commuters. Bus riders, vanpoolers and employers may be
able to realize substantial savings.
Commuter
Club Card
The Commuter Club program offers your alternative mode users discounts
on many Valley products and services with a convenient use of a special
CC "credit card"--free of the hassle of coupons.
