What’s a Commuter Club Card?

Valley Metro Rideshare and the State of Arizona are proud to sponsor the Commuter Club (CC) program. We joined forces in order to offer all TRP employers an incentive program for their alternative mode users (AMU).

The Commuter Club program offers AMU discounts on many Valley products and services with a convenient use of a special CC "credit card"--free of the hassle of coupons.

The Commuter Club was designed to assist you in reaching your Trip Reduction Plan goals. All you have to do is order cards and distribute them to your employees. Your employees will save money by ridesharing but can also take advantage of terrific discounts on products and services at no cost.

With a Commuter Club Card your employees will enjoy discounts, "2-For-1" and other specials on food, entertainment, and attractions all over the Valley!

See the vendors on the 2007 Commuter Club Card HERE.

How Does It Work?

As a participant in the club, employers can purchase cards for $1.00 per card. The card enables employees to obtain discounts at Valley merchants as a reward for using alternative modes. The card can also be used as an incentive to recruit new alternative mode users.

The Commuter Club offers you an opportunity to give something back to your employees. As a TC, you'll find it to be an easy program to implement and market. It is also an excellent monitoring tool for your TRP since your employees need to register with you to become a member.

Valley Metro encourages you to offer the Commuter Club to employees who use an alternative mode regularly. We recommend you offer the Commuter Club free to your employees as an incentive to rideshare. Cards are valid through December 31, 2007.

What's in it for Employers?

Commuter Club Cards may be used as low-cost promotional items for your Trip Reduction Program. Package a CC card and a movie ticket or video rental as a "reward" for registering as a new alternative mode user. Give the card to employees as a "thank-you" for submitting a carpool application or completing the TRP survey.

To Receive Your Cards:

  • Go to the Commuter Club Card Website
  • Complete the order form and pay by credit card or print the completed form, print it and send it along with a check payable to Valley Metro/RPTA.
  • Valley Metro Rideshare will mail or deliver your cards within 2-3 weeks.
  • Distribute cards to your employees and encourage them to take advantage of the benefits.

NOTE: Cards can be purchased throughout the year based on availability. No minimum quantity is required. Keep in mind that the cards expire December 31, 2007.
