What is Project ADOPT? Project ADOPT--Arizona Donates Office Products for Telework--provides a solution for employees who want to telecommute. In working with employers to discuss the option of telecommuting at their worksite, many say the biggest barrier is equipment. They simply cannot afford to provide it in the office as well as at home. On the other hand, many companies are able to donate equipment they consider insufficient for their needs. Donated equipment will be refurbished and distributed to organizations that allow their employees to work from home on a full or part time basis. For many companies telecommuting assists with the need to meet trip reduction goals by eliminating unnecessary trips to the office. For all of us this means cleaner air and reduced traffic congestion because we’re keeping more cars off the road. How do we receive donated equipment? Project ADOPT will focus on encouraging the initiation of new telecommuting programs, cleaning the air and reducing traffic congestion. To receive additional information regarding Project ADOPT, please e-mail RideshareInfo@ValleyMetro.org. Include your name, company name, address, phone and email address. Download application for free computers HERE! (MS Word document) How do we donate equipment? If your organization is interested in donating equipment, please contact StRUT at (602) 414-4462, Students Recycling Used Technology or visit their website. "We have to break through the idea that an executive is a person who drives 33 miles a day to a central location where hundreds or thousands of people work in cubicles and, unless you go there nothing gets done." --Alvin Toffler |
