Contests for you and your employees!

Valley Bike Month is Underway!

The Valley Bike Month Contest kicks off Saturday, April 1 and runs through May 7. Your employees don’t have to commute to work to enter the contest; they can ride for fun, do errands, or participate in several bike-related activities.

If your employees don’t have e-mail, you can enter for them; just register on the contest website as a TC on the Contest Website.

Please encourage your employees to consider the bicycle as an alternative mode, as well as a fun, family activity. As always, encourage employees to wear a bike helmet and ride safely.

Ozone Season Starts Saturday and so does the Summer Ozone Contest

Hopefully, we’re done with PM-10 HPAs for a while, but that doesn’t mean we’re out of the woods when it comes to pollution. Although it takes temperatures above 90° for ground level ozone to form—hopefully, that won’t happen for a while—the ozone contest also starts Saturday.

Any time an employee uses an alternative mode he or she can enter the drawing for a pair of tickets to a Diamondbacks home game. Using an alternative mode on an HPA day warrants a “double” entry. TCs can enter for employees who don’t have Internet access at Summer Ozone contest.

Don’t forget – if HPA incentives are included on your trip reduction plan, you’ll want to award any incentives for the winter season if you haven’t already done so. The last PM-10 advisory was March 10th. Yippee!

TRP Web Portals

If you are using your new TRP Web Portal, information on both the summer ozone contest and Valley Bike Month is available for you to add to your news and/or events sections with links to our contests.

We’re doing some fine tuning to the Web Portals but they’re ready for you to roll out to your employees!

The Spring Kit is in the mail!

It should arrive in your mailbox sometime next week. In the meantime, all of the materials are available on our website with links from the Valley bike Month page.
