METRO light rail: An Overview
METRO is the brand name for Valley Metro Rail Inc., a nonprofit, public corporation charged with the design, construction and operation of the region’s 57-mile high-capacity transit system. Member cities each have a representative on the METRO Board of Directors. The METRO Board establishes overall policies and provides general oversight of the agency and its responsibilities.
Mission: METRO provides a premier regional rail system that enhances mobility and strengthens the viability of our community.
