Transit Fare Discounts  
There are many options with the bus and light rail. In addition to the extensive choices in routes, discounted fares are also available. A 31-day Local Reduced Fare pass is available for $32.00 or pay $1.00 for one-way travel.

Cab Programs

East Valley RideChoice Program
Seniors and persons with disabilities can travel to their favorite destinations by taxi using a reloadable fare card. This new and improved program replaces Coupons for Cabs and Dialysis Vouchers. To qualify, you must be 65 years of age or older or disabled, and you must reside in Chandler, Gilbert, Mesa or Tempe.

Scottsdale Cab Connection

Scottsdale Cab Connection is an alternative to Dial-a-Ride that offers users more flexibility and independence. Scottsdale residents may receive up to 16 vouchers per month per user. Vouchers are subsidized by the city of Scottsdale at a rate of 80%, up to a maximum of $10 per trip.


Mesa, Scottsdale and Tempe offer FREE circulator bus service, using smaller buses to connect residential areas to local destinations such as other neighborhoods, major bus routes, medical centers, schools, shopping, recreational areas and multi-generational centers.

Dial-a-Ride is available to residents of the East Valley. Within the city of Mesa and the town of Gilbert, Dial-a-Ride is only available to individuals who are ADA certified. Service hours vary; call for details.

Transportation Ambassadors Program

The Maricopa Association of Governments (MAG) develops human services transportation coordination plans to address concerns of older adults, people with disabilities and people with low incomes throughout the region. The purpose of the Transportation Ambassador Program (TAP) is to create a network of community resources regarding human services transportation in the region. Public participation is encouraged to identify gaps in service and the potential for innovative new partnerships.
