How to Use The Velcro-Belt Bus Bike Racks:

As the bus approaches, have your bike ready to go. That means removing water bottles, pumps and other loose items that might fall off.

Make sure the bus has stopped and the driver sees you before you step in front of the bus. Tell the bus driver you're going to use the bike rack.

Each rack is located at the front of the bus and accommodates up to two bicycles.

Grab the knob and pull up to release rack from upright position. (PHOTO) Grab the handle and pull up.

Lower the rack to the carrying position. (PHOTO) Lower the rack to the carrying position.

Pull up the bar with Velcro belt to align with the bike's seat post. (PHOTO) Pull up the bar with Velcro belt and align it with the post that the seat is on.

Lift your bike onto the rack and into the proper slots, which are clearly labeled for the front and rear wheels. (PHOTO) Lift your bike onto the rack and into the slot for the wheels.

Wrap the Velcro belt around the post, making sure bike is secured for travel. (PHOTO) Wrap the Velcro belt around the post and secure it. The bike is now secured for travel. Get in the bus.

Tip: don't leave anything on the bike that might blow off in the wind, or bounce off when the bus hits a bump. (PHOTO) Tip: don't leave anything on the bike that might blow off in the wind, or bounce off when the bus hits a bump.
