Finding Carpoolers

When employees were asked in a 2008 study where they might look for a carpool partner if they were interested in carpooling, two in five employees (41%) reported they would go through their work place to find a carpool partner.  Nearly one in five (18%) indicate they would turn to friends, family members or co-workers.  Our Rideshare staff can help you connect your employees.

Valley Metro’s Business Services team provides free on-site support to help employers develop commuting solutions for employees.  Whether the company has just a handful of employees or is one of the many large employers that is part of the County’s Trip Reduction Program, the Business Services staff is there to assist.  Our goal is to help reduce traffic impacts on emissions and congestion throughout the Valley by reducing the Single Occupancy Vehicle (SOV) rate for each employer.  Employers that encourage employees to find alternative modes of transportation to get to work help clean the Valley’s air and clear Valley highways.

Interested in finding commuting solutions for your employees, and sharing ideas with other employers across the Valley?  To contact us for support at your company, call Valley Metro at 602-262-RIDE or e-mail the Representative for your area.  We’ll help you identify a Transportation Coordinator and get them set up with an account in our Business Support section, which contains interactive support for all of your commuting needs.
