Moving away from a traditional marketing program, METRO has decided to use its limited marketing dollars to nurture those who make the system a success – light rail riders. Through a program called “Onboard Rewards,” METRO works with community partners and entertainment venues along the line to surprise riders with an unexpected, exciting and buzz-building onboard experience complete with ticket and prize giveaways and local personalities.
A METRO Onboard Rewards experience is planned for each month through June 2011 on a single train and carried out at random – you never know to whom and when it will happen!
