METRO Light Rail
44th Street and Washington
PHX Airport Shuttle Information
Coinciding with the start of METRO light rail service, air travelers and airport employees can take light rail to and from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. The free PHX Airport Shuttle transports visitors between the METRO light rail stop at 44th Street and Washington and Sky Harbor's three terminals. Light rail passengers simply walk across Washington to the south and catch the shuttle at the Sky Harbor transfer station on the southwest corner of 44th Street and Washington.
The shuttle route has five stops as it circles around Sky Harbor’s terminal buildings. The black and silver bus picks up and drops off passengers at each stop every ten minutes.
The free service operates during the same hours as METRO light rail. Each PHX Airport Shuttle bus has several luggage racks to accommodate passenger bags and is compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), making it easy to use for all of Sky Harbor’s passengers.
The Sky Harbor METRO rail stop at 44th Street and Washington provides an easy connection for those coming to the Airport without inconveniencing other light rail passengers. Light rail would have needed to make up to seven additional stops if it had been routed through the Airport.
