Phoenix Metro Area

by Black Carl

The catchy, upbeat song by indie, funk rock band Black Carl, of Tempe, Ariz., demonstrates the ease of using to navigate the public transit system. Brought to life by original animation, the adventure of a princess traveling to new exciting places by way of the light rail shows how easy it is to plan your next trip online.

Behind the Scenes of

Wanna go somewhere feeling bored,
so I go to
It’s real easy to plan a trip,
just a few things that you have to click
Enter where you’re traveling from and where you wanna go,
the time you’re leaving or arriving,
it’s the only way to roll
One more thing you’ve got to know,
is the date you plan to travel
Weekdays, Saturdays, Sundays all have different schedules
Buy your passes online,
save yourself a little time
Print out a map to get around
and make your way on downtown

Black Carl

Black Carl is a mix of funk, blues, soul and all that was once good in music.  Lead singer Emma Pew has a voice as silky-smooth as a ride on Metro light rail. In addition to Emma, Black Carl is made up of four other guys—John Krause, Chad Leonard, Matt Noakes and Ian Woodward. The band has been creating catchy tunes since 2007.
