2009 Valley Metro Calendar Winners Announced

PHOENIX (December 4, 2008) – Third grade students from Chandler to Cave Creek will have their artwork featured in the 2009 Valley Metro Cool Bus STUFF calendar. Focusing on an environmental theme, thirteen winning entries out of a total of 208 were chosen for their unique artwork and message.  Student artwork is featured for each month, plus a best of show that is featured on the cover of the calendar. The annual event is open to all 3rd graders in the Valley. 
Students were instructed to draw a picture that focused on one of the following topics and using the theme of Valley Metro: Let’s Go Green Together!

1. Go Green and Save: Show how you and your family travel green by using city buses to help Planet Earth.
2. Go Green to Fun Places: Show you and your family traveling green on the city bus to a fun place in your city.
3. Go Green and Be Safe: Show a safe way to ride the city bus as you and your family travel green.
