Celebrate Independence Day with Valley Metro

Valley Metro will enhance light rail and designated bus service to support special events occurring on Independence Day, Saturday, July 4, 2015.

Light rail will provide enhanced service and run until 2 a.m. Tempe bus service will be extended to support the July 4 Tempe Town Lake Festival. After 5 p.m., many Tempe bus routes will run every 15 minutes northbound to the Tempe Transportation Center until 9 p.m. with return service from 10 p.m. to midnight on designated routes. In Mesa, service on Route 40 will be extended through 11 p.m. to support the Arizona Celebration of Freedom festivities. Customer Service will be closed.

Friday, July 3, is the observed transit holiday. Bus and light rail will operate a Sunday/holiday schedule with light rail service until 2 a.m. There will be no Express and RAPID bus service. Customer Service will be open 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Expect greater use of light rail trains and park-and-rides on Independence Day. Riders are encouraged to plan ahead and allow extra time to reach their destinations. For more information, visit valleymetro.org.
