Gilbert Road Extension Final Design

PHOENIX – Valley Metro and city of Mesa invite the public to attend an update on construction activity and final design of the light rail extension to Gilbert Road in Mesa.

The Gilbert Road Extension is a 1.9-mile extension of Valley Metro Rail that will continue along Main Street from Mesa Drive to Gilbert Road. It will include two stations, a transit center and a park-and-ride. The Final Design presentation will include an update on how vehicles, pedestrians and light rail trains will move together along the extension and illustrations of the latest station art designs. Public art will be incorporated into each station and the park-and-ride.

About Valley Metro: Valley Metro provides eco-friendly public transit options to residents of greater Phoenix and Maricopa County including the planning and operations of a regional bus system and the development and operations of 26 miles of light rail.
