Phoenix Bus Strike Update

At this time, there is NO disruption to bus service..

Negotiations continue between the Phoenix contractor, Veolia, and their employees. Veolia rescinded the lockout letter previously issued to the Teamsters. Talks continue with the ATU and have resumed with the Teamsters. The Public Transit Department in Phoenix remains prepared for a possibility that bus service may be interrupted.

All Valley Metro buses are operating on normal schedules until further notice. However, in the case of a work stoppage and if you travel on one of the 33 bus routes operated by the City of Phoenix’s contractor, Veolia Transportation Services,
please have back up plans for alternative travel to work, school, and other destinations.
