Power Road Route 184 Service Begins January 24

Please join Valley Metro, along with Phoenix Mesa Gateway Airport, the City of Mesa, and the Town of Gilbert as local officials kick-off the first-ever bus service along the southern portion of Power Road.

β€œRoute 184 will offer incredible opportunities to both residents and travelers who rely on public transportation to connect them to their destinations,” said David Boggs, Valley Metro executive director. β€œThe list of destinations is impressive and varied as it ranges from hospitals, college campuses, a golf course and the Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport.”

The new bus route, which travels from Mesa Community College at McKellips Road to the ASU Polytechnic Campus at Williams Field Road, is funded by Proposition 400, the half-cent countywide sales tax that funds transportation improvement projects and was approved by voters in 2004.

Route 184 will offer 30-minute service each weekday between 4:30 a.m. and 9:30 p.m. and weekend service between 5 a.m. and 9 p.m. According to House of Refuge executive director Nancy Marion, the new bus route will help take residents of her facility to work, school and daycare.

The public is invited to attend the kick-off ceremony:

10 a.m.-11 a.m.

Where: Phoenix Mesa Gateway Airport Terminal
