Public Meetings Set for Light Rail Station Feasibility Study

Valley Metro, in coordination with the city of Phoenix, has initiated a long term study to evaluate the feasibility of adding a light rail station at two separate locations: Washington/16th Street and Washington/48th Street. The community is invited to a public meeting to learn about the initial evaluation and next steps of the process. A public meeting will be held for each station study.

Monday, November 18
4 - 6 p.m.
Disability Empowerment Center, Conference Center
5025 E. Washington St., Phoenix

The Disability Empowerment Center is accessible via Route 3 (Van Buren/Washington) and is 8/10ths of a mile from the 44th Street & Washington light rail station.

Tuesday, November 19
4 - 6 p.m.
Eastlake Community Center
1549 E. Jefferson St., Phoenix

The Eastlake Community Center is accessible via Route 1 (Washington), Route 16 (16th Street), and is approximately a half-mile from the 12th Street light rail station.
