It’s time for Valley 3rd graders to let their imaginations run free with Valley Metro’s 9th Annual Cool Transit STUFF 3rd Grade Art Contest. The contest encourages students to design an original piece of artwork for a chance to win prizes and a spot in Valley Metro’s 2014 Transit Education Calendar. The theme of this year’s contest is: Do the Ride Thing with Valley Metro! If you’re going to do it – do it ride.
“The purpose of the Cool Transit STUFF contest is to inspire students to get excited about public transit,” said Community Relations Coordinator Helen Romesburg. “Encouraging students to think creatively will help teach them about the benefits of using buses and light rail, such as improving air quality and reducing traffic congestion.”
