Surprise Dial-a-Ride provides service to Surprise residents who travel within the City of Surprise and outside of Surprise * (see Fares) for medical and work related trips.**

**Persons traveling to the Veterans Administration Clinic (now located in Surprise) from outside Surprise are transported from the Jack in the Box restaurant at 9906 W. Thunderbird Avenue in Sun City, only.

Service Hours*

Monday–Friday 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

*No service on national and state holidays.

Call Hours

Monday–Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
It is recommended that you book your trips two to 14 days in advance; however, same day trips may be available.

Fares*

Service hours and fares may increase. Call Surprise Dial-a-Ride for details on these changes. Cash only. Exact change required.

  • Residents over 5 years old (within Surprise) $1.00
  • Residents going to Sun City, Sun City West, El Mirage, Youngtown and the Boswell Hospital area $1.25
  • Residents traveling to the Valley Metro bus stop at 111th and Grand avenues may purchase an All-day pass at Valley Metro’s current rate - $5.25

Transfer Policy

The fare is $1.25 to and from the bus stop at 111th and Grand. Valley Metro all-day passes will also be accepted when traveling to and from the bus stop.
