2010 Valley Metro Board Officers Elected

PHOENIX (January 22, 2010) – Phoenix Councilmember Michael Johnson was elected Chair of the 2010 Valley Metro Board of Directors serving a one-year term along with Tempe Vice Mayor Shana Ellis as Vice Chair, Peoria Vice Mayor Ron Aames as Treasurer and Surprise Mayor Lyn Truitt as Secretary.

“We are looking forward to Councilmember Johnson’s guidance in 2010 as we navigate through difficult financial circumstances due to a slow economy,” said David Boggs, Valley Metro RPTA executive director. “We are optimistic about Councilmember Johnson’s leadership because of the commitment and compassion for the transit community that he has expressed as a Board Member.”
