Mesa park and ride facility open house

The public is invited to an open house for the construction of a new park and ride facility near U.S. 60 between Loop 101 and Mesa Drive. The open house will be at Lincoln Elementary School, 930 S. Sirrine, on Thursday, Jan 22 from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

The park and ride will be constructed to accommodate the existing express bus service on U.S. 60 and to support anticipated growth in carpool and vanpool users, local, LINK and express buses riders, and paratransit users.

Several locations for this park and ride were evaluated and the following two locations are under consideration:

• Country Club Drive and Juanita Avenue (vacant lot west of the southwest corner)
• Baseline Road and Mesa Drive (northeast corner)

Interested members of the public are encouraged to attend the open house to learn more about the park and ride and provide input on the project. Members of the project design team, including City staff, will be available to answer questions. There will be no formal presentation.
