Service Changes Effective January 24, 2011

New Routes

Arizona Avenue/Country Club Drive LINK – Service in Chandler, Gilbert and Mesa will travel between the Chandler Park-and-Ride at Germann Rd. and Hamilton St. and METRO light rail at the Sycamore Transit Center in Mesa.
Route 184 – Power Rd – Service in Mesa will travel on Power Rd. between Mesa Community College Red Mountain Campus at McKellips Rd. and Phoenix Mesa Gateway Airport at Williams Field Rd.
RAPID to Rail – Goes from the Bell Road/I-17 Park-and-Ride and Metrocenter to the METRO light rail Montebello Transit Center at 19th Ave. and Montebello.

Eliminated Routes

Route 570 – Glendale Express (see Grand Avenue as an alternative)
Route 582 – North Mountain Express (see RAPID I-17 or RAPID to Rail as an alternative)
Route 590 – Deer Valley Express (see RAPID I-17 or RAPID to Rail as an alternative)

Local Routes

Route 29 – Thomas – Schedule adjustments.
Route 30 – University – Extend route east to Sossaman Rd. Service south along Power Rd. to Banner Baywood Hospital is eliminated.  Schedule adjustments.
Route 40 – Apache/Main St – Schedule adjustments.
Route 45 – Broadway – Schedule adjustments.
Route 61 – Southern – Eliminate Saturday along Country Club Dr. to Juanita Ave.  Schedule adjustments.
Route 96 – Dobson – Route will no longer travel to the Intel plant at Dobson Rd. and Ocotillo Rd.
Route 120 – Mesa Dr – Eliminate weekday and Saturday service before 9 a.m.
Route 156 – Chandler Blvd/Williams Field Rd – Schedule adjustments.
Route 186 – Union Hills – The 9:17 p.m. weekday eastbound trip from Arrowhead Towne Center has been restored.
Grand Avenue Limited – Extend route along Central Avenue from Central Station to Camelback Rd.

METRO Light Rail

Minor schedule adjustments.

Express and RAPID Routes

Route 542 – Chandler Express – The outbound trip beginning at 3:25 p.m. has been replaced with a new outbound trip beginning at 5:45 p.m.
Route 562 – Goodyear Express – Inbound morning service begins at the new Goodyear Park-and-Ride located on the south side of Cornerstone Blvd. and just west of Dysart Rd.
Route 571 – Surprise Express – Route will serve the new Surprise Park-and-Ride located on the south side of Bell Rd. east of Grand Ave. at 13327 W. Bell Rd., Surprise.
Route 581 – North Mountain Express – Service to downtown Phoenix is eliminated.  Route travels from 59th Ave. and Thunderbird Rd. to the Metrocenter Transit Center.
RAPID - I-17 – New service at the new Happy Valley/I-17 Park-and-Ride.  The Deer Valley Community Center Park-and-Ride at 19th Ave. and Utopia Rd. is eliminated.

Circulator Route

SMART – Route is extended and will serve Sunnyslope Manor on Ruth Ave. and 3rd St.  Weekend schedule adjustments.
