LINK goes High-Tech

  • All LINK buses are wireless, giving you the capability to connect to the internet using your smart phone or laptop.
  • The LINK routes feature a real time bus tracker system that will help you determine when buses arrive at specific stops along Arizona Avenue and Country Club Drive or Main Street and Power Road. Click HERE to try it out!

How do I ride LINK?

LINK service is included as part of your All-day pass, along with local bus and METRO light rail service.  It’s one of the best transportation deals around! Purchase your pass at any of the fare vending machines located along the Arizona Ave/Country Club LINK route.

What makes LINK unique?

Like a train, the LINK can zip past traffic.  LINK vehicles have traffic signal priority, meaning that stoplights wait to turn red until they pass.  Plus, like a rail line, the LINK runs a streamlined route from the Superstition Springs Park-and-Ride to the Sycamore Transit Center, connecting to METRO light rail. LINK also connects the Chandler Park-and-Ride, located at Germann Rd and Hamilton St, to METRO light rail at the Sycamore Transit Center.

RTP Expansion

The REGIONAL TRANSPORTATION PLAN includes bus service on arterial streets that will function as an extension of the METRO Light Rail line.  The LINK is one of these services, commonly called BRT - Bus Rapid Transit.

3 BRT Routes are included in the 20-year plan:

  • Main Street Arterial BRT (Valley Metro LINK 2008)
  • Arizona Avenue Arterial BRT (Valley Metro LINK 2011)
  • Scottsdale/Rural Arterial BRT (2016)
