Valley Metro RPTA Executive Director Dave Boggs
David Boggs is a unique individual who has served the business community in both the private and public sectors. His 40 years of experience includes working in varying high-level management positions, including Chief Financial Officer and Chief Executive Officer, for the following organizations:
- ATC Transportation Companies (purchased by Veolia Transportation)
- Laidlaw Transit Services
- Sacramento Municipal Utility District
- Sacramento Regional Transit District
- Houston Metro Transit System
- Seattle Metro Transit System
- Washington State Highway Department
Boggs’ mix of strong financial experience, as well as natural people and leadership skills, has enabled him to develop a management technique that has served him well. For his employees Boggs manages through an integrated “open door” policy and “walking around” initiative that helps employees feel comfortable discussing company issues. A secret to his overwhelming success is that Boggs provides a working environment that stresses “quality of life,” effectively balancing work and personal time for his employees.
