Tempe Streetcar

Tempe Streetcar is the first modern streetcar line in the Valley. It will serve one of the highest transit ridership centers in the region and connect riders to neighborhoods, major business centers, and regional events and destinations.

 

Gilbert Road Extension

The Gilbert Road Extension will extend light rail on Main Street from Mesa Drive to Gilbert Road in Mesa. At Gilbert Road, there are significant transit connections and the ability to serve the growing transit demand in the East Valley. This extension will attract new riders and increase development opportunities in central Mesa.

Holiday bus and rail schedules

Please take note of holiday service for Valley Metro bus and rail.

New Year’s Eve, Sunday, December 31

Coors Light Free Rides® on all bus, rail, paratransit and Dial-a-Ride services begin at 7 p.m. through end of service day.

Rail will operate a regular Sunday schedule with enhanced service to support New Year’s Eve events and bus will operate a regular Sunday schedule.

Catch a “sleigh” ride to holiday events

Leave the driving to Valley Metro this holiday season. In December, special holiday-themed trains and buses will connect riders to festive destinations across the Valley. Surprise onboard visits from Valley Metro “elves” including Respect the Ride goodies and holiday ornaments. All-Day passes are $4 and parking is free at any Valley Metro park-and-ride.
