While other hotels try to hide any reports of paranormal activity, the Hotel San Carlos on Central Avenue is one of the most famous haunted locations in Phoenix.  They embrace the ghost stories and welcome curious guests who hope to catch a glimpse of the lady in white.

Hotel San Carlos on Central Avenue was opened in 1928 .  Just weeks later, Leone Jensen jumped off the roof following  a reported breakup with her boyfriend.  Reports of a female in white floating down the hallways of the hotel are common.  Men have reported waking up in the middle of the night and seeing a woman in standing at the foot of the bed watching them.  She then floats to the door and leaves the room.

Also reported are the sounds of kids playing, laughing and running down the hallways in the basement area.   Several patrons said they have seen a little girl sitting and crying in several of the rooms.  The hotel was built on the location where the first schoolhouse in Phoenix was built in 1874.

Hotel San Carlos is located at 202 N Central Ave.  The rail station closest to the hotel will be either Van Buren/Central Ave or Van Buren/1st Ave.
