Bike | Valley Metro

Bicycling is a great choice for short commutes or as part of a longer trip. You can ride your bike to the nearest transit stop or park-and-ride lot to meet with your carpool or vanpool. Most transit centers and light rail stations have bike racks and lockers. In addition, all Valley Metro buses and light rail trains are equipped with bike racks.

Bike Stands

There are open air bike stands (sometimes referred to as bike racks) available at Metrocenter, Desert Sky, Sunnyslope, and Paradise Valley Transit Centers, the Shea/SR 51 (Dreamy Draw) Park-and-Ride, the Gilbert Rd/McDowell Rd Park-and-Ride, and the Bell/I-17 (Deer Valley) Park-and-Ride.

Bike Lockers

Bike lockers are self-serve and available on a first-come, first-served basis. You must bring your own lock to use the locker if available. Learn how to use the bike lockers by reviewing the Bikes and Transit flyer.

To use a bike locker, open the door, roll the bike in, close the door, install lock through the holes on the handle and lock it up. Items may not be stored overnight. If they are not removed they are subject to being turned into lost and found.

Portable Bike Rack Loan Program

Valley Metro Commute Solutions offers portable bike racks at no charge to organizations holding events in Maricopa County.
