Connecting to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport
Need a ride to the airport? Maybe you are not a fan of traffic or paying for parking? Valley Metro offers airport passengers options to Sky Harbor International Airport by taking the bus (Routes 1 and 44) or connecting via light rail to PHX Sky Train from the 44th St./Washington Valley Metro Rail station.
PHX Sky Train
The PHX Sky Train is a free service connecting travelers from the 44th St/Washington light rail station to all terminals and East Economy parking.
Travelers heading to the airport should exit at the 44th St/Washington light rail station and take the escalator up to the PHX Sky Train platform.
Access to the PHX Sky Train can be found on Level 3, where the gates and security checkpoints are located. Valley Metro Rail fare can be purchased at stations, the Sky Train terminal and participating retail locations. A 1-Ride fare is $2 and must be validated before boarding.
The PHX Sky Train station offers many convenient services:
Boarding pass kiosks
Early bag check for travelers flying Southwest or American
Cell phone waiting lot for those waiting to pick up passengers
Hours of Operation
Unlike the PHX Sky Train, with stops every three or four minutes, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, Valley Metro Rail has varying hours. Head to the Valley Metro Rail schedule for help arranging travel times.
Overnight parking is not permitted at Valley Metro Rail park-and-ride lots. To avoid tickets or towing we suggest having someone drop you off at the nearest light rail station or connect to a bus route.
Connecting to Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport
