As a Valley Metro rider, you know the benefits of public transit. While it’s important to save time and money, safety and security top the list. That’s why we’ve created Alert Valley Metro, a new user-friendly app that allows riders to quickly and discreetly report incidents
Riders can submit a report by taking a photo or video, select from a list of locations and incident categories to help dispatch responders to the scene. You also have the option to remain anonymous when submitting the report.
The app is available now on Google Play or the App Store, or can be used as a text option. Alert VM encourages riders to report any of the following:
- Comment or Complaint
- Disruptive Behavior
- Human Trafficking
- Maintenance
- Panhandling/Soliciting
- Suspicious Activity
- Unattended Bag or Package
- Vandalism/Graffiti
- Wellness Check
- Other
While Valley Metro’s new app is meant to help promote safety, it’s still vital to contact 9-1-1 or the local police department for crimes in progress. Together, we are making Valley Metro safer and more secure for everyone.
