Six smiling vanpoolers

Valley Metro is offering a special vanpool promotion this spring. All new vanpool groups that are formed and begin commuting between now and May 31, 2020 will receive their first month free.

A vanpool is a group of six to 15 people who commute to work together in a Valley Metro-owned van. Riders share the cost of operating the van by paying a monthly fare, which usually averages to about $20 per person per month. There are currently 372 vanpools operating throughout Maricopa County.

Vanpool riders help the environment and save time, money and stress by commuting together. Last year, Valley Metro vanpools prevented 420,540 pounds of pollution, saved $4 million in fuel costs and eliminated 38 million miles of individual travel.
