passengers with face masks waiting for light rail

Federal law requires that all public transit riders wear a face covering while at stops, stations and on-board. If riders do not comply they could be denied boarding or removal, and may result in penalties. This new order from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is in addition to the executive order by President Biden in January.

Valley Metro is committed to keeping your communities safe during this pandemic and remember, we're all in this together. You can do your part to stay safe by wearing your mask, watching your distance around others and washing your hands before and after taking transit. Most important if you are sick, or feel sick, stay home.
