Valley Metro and the City of Mesa are making changes to Valley Metro Paratransit (also known as Dial-a-Ride.)

Starting July 1, 2019, Paratransit service will only be available in the city of Mesa within three-quarters of a mile of bus routes and light rail stations. This level of service is mandated by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

The changes to the Paratransit service area ensure that we are able to meet the growing needs of the community. This map shows the redefined Paratransit service area in blue, and the RideChoice service area in blue and green.

If your home address now falls outside of the blue Paratransit service area, RideChoice will be your primary source of transportation. You remain eligible to use Valley Metro Paratransit for any trips that begin and end within the blue Paratransit service area.

If you have questions about whether or not a specific trip will meet these requirements, you may contact Valley Metro Paratransit at 602.716.2200 for assistance.

Valley Metro’s RideChoice program is available on a citywide basis. RideChoice customers will need to be ADA certified to use the service. For more information about RideChoice, visit valleymetro.org/ridechoice.
