And they’re off! Runners are hitting the pavement for the 17th Rock ‘n’ Roll Arizona Marathon this weekend and here’s how it’s impacting Valley Metro services.

Light Rail

  • Friday & Saturday, January 17 & 18 – Rock ‘n’ Roll Arizona Expo
    • The expo is being held at the Phoenix Convention Center
      • Friday, 12 p.m. – 7 p.m.
      • Saturday, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
    • Light rail may be more full in the downtown Phoenix area
  • Sunday, January 19 – Rock ‘n’ Roll Arizona Race Day
    • Races will take place between 7:30 a.m. – 10 a.m.
      • There will be no rail service on Camelback between 7th Ave. and Central Ave. from 7:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.
      • Service will continue through race crossings in Tempe, but there may be slight delays to allow safe passage for runners. Please allow extra time to reach your destination
    • The end point for all races is Tempe Beach Park, so expect light rail to be more full around the downtown Tempe stops
