NWEII Construction Advisory Boards | Valley Metro
Construction backhoe digging in construction site

What are Construction Advisory Boards?

A key component of Valley Metro’s Construction Outreach Plan for the Northwest Extension Phase II light rail project (NWEII) is the formation of a citizen advisory board to serve as a voice for the affected community during light rail construction. The board is known as the Construction Advisory Board (CAB) and are composed of residents, property owners and business representatives from the community adjacent to the project route.

CAB members will serve as liaisons between the NWEII light rail project contractor and the community, and evaluate the performance of Valley Metro’s contractor in minimizing impacts to the community during construction. CAB members will make recommendations to Valley Metro whether to award a quarterly incentive to the contractor, related to public outreach, response to issues, traffic management and property restoration.

NWEII CAB meets on the second Monday of the month at 3 p.m. Dates and times of the meetings are subject to change. Meetings are open to the public and there will be a call to the audience for comments. Please review the Request to Speak Form on how to comment at the meetings on the right hand side of the screen listed under 'Info & Resources'. Please consult Valley Metro’s upcoming events page or the right hand side of the screen to confirm meeting dates, times and locations.
